Family Hike

Join us April 13 for a Young Family Hike at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve!

LOCATION: Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve
DIFFICULTY: Easy to Moderate
DISTANCE: Approximately 4 mile loop
TIME: Approximately 2 hours
ELEVATION GAIN: Approximately 305′
COST: $4 cash per adult/$3 cash per child, paid at the Plateau, NOT to Cornerstone

We will meet at the Santa Rosa Plateau Visitor Center(39400 Clinton Keith Rd., Murrieta, CA 92562) at 9AM. After using the bathrooms, we will drive/carpool 2 minutes to the trailhead parking lot near the trail head at The Vernal Pools by 9:15AM.

Hike will begin at 9:30AM.

We will hike out the Vernal Pools which should have lots of water and hopefully wildlife! We will then hike down to the adobes for a snack/bathroom break. After we will hike back to the trailhead. Because of all the recent rains the hills should be beautiful and green, the vernal pools full, and wildflowers starting to pop their heads out as we round the corner into spring.

RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES TO BRING:
– Minimum 1L (32oz) of water
– Snacks
– Sunscreen
– Long pants
– Hiking shoes
