Good Friday

Good Friday. The day it all went so wrong. You see only six days earlier there was crowds lining the streets crying out hosanna, hosanna which simply means save us, save us. You see, generation upon generation of Jewish people had been oppressed. They were essentially slaves, owned by the state of Rome and they had thought that Jesus had come to set them free. Free in the real, practical sense of right now in this life. Turns out the story was so different. It all had to do with their eternal story.

So what this means for us today is; What do you need to be set free from what bondage holds you down? In a day so beautifully named Good Friday, where in your darkest hour, in the bottom of your pit, you know that Jesus is doing what only he can do. He is conquering death, defeating hell and the grave. That’s what Good Friday is all about. We just want to invite you please be here this weekend as we celebrate our resurrecting King.

Come celebrate this gift that our savior has given us this weekend and experience Easter at Cornerstone! Extend an invitation to your friends and family to join you at our Baxter Campus in Wildomar with this Facebook Event or invite them to join you at our Menifee Campus. We can’t wait to share what we have planned!

“Surprise”

My wife Jessica’s birthday was approaching and it was my job to get her to a surprise party in her honor. It’s no small feat to come up with a cover story that makes you forget turning thirty. Friends of ours had just moved into a brand-new house, and the story I went with, to lower suspicion, was their house-warming party.
